Dietes bicolor, commonly-African iris, comes from South Africa. It is a rhizomatous evergreen perennials that generally resemble beardless iris. It produces fan-shaped clumps of iris-like, narrow, sword-shaped, basal and evergreen leaves. Flowers appear on branched stalks.
